Precautions After Under Eye Treatment
Please review the following information to support a stable recovery and natural-looking results.
I. Aftercare Guidelines
- Do not touch or irritate the surgical area with your hands. This helps prevent secondary infection.
- Apply cold compresses for 3 days (72 hours) after surgery.
- Please place a thin cloth between the ice pack and your skin when using it.
- You may wash your face, but do not rub your eyes or apply strong pressure.
- No sutures are used, so there is no need for stitch removal.
- Even after 1 week, rubbing your eyes forcefully or straining the area may cause bleeding, so please continue to be careful.
- If bleeding occurs, place thick gauze over the area and apply gentle pressure.
- When sleeping, keep your upper body slightly elevated and remain lying on your back. This helps reduce swelling.
- Please avoid actions that put excessive strain on the eyes, such as strong laughing, crying, or keeping your head lowered for long periods. These may worsen bruising and swelling.
- Use the prescribed eye drops 4 times a day for 3 days: in the morning, at noon, in the evening, and before bed.
- Do not drink alcohol or smoke for 4 weeks after surgery. Alcohol and smoking may delay recovery and increase the risk of inflammation.
- Please avoid saunas and public baths for 2 weeks.
II. Changes That May Occur During Recovery
- Temporary swelling, bruising, pain, and a pulling sensation may occur.
- Conjunctival swelling or conjunctival bleeding may also occur.
- You may notice increased tearing, more eye discharge, dryness, or a foreign body sensation in the eyes.
- These symptoms are usually temporary and part of the normal healing process, although recovery varies from person to person.
III. When to Consult Your Medical Provider
- If pain gradually becomes worse
- If severe swelling or bleeding continues
- If you experience decreased vision or severe pain
- If you experience any of the above symptoms, please contact our clinic and visit for an evaluation.
